# Social Value and Community Impact Policy

### Purpose

AIC aims to deliver positive social value through its work, supply chain and operating practices.

Social value means considering the wider impact of our business beyond immediate commercial delivery.

### Policy Statement

AIC will seek to create positive impact through fair work, inclusive opportunity, ethical delivery, responsible procurement, environmental awareness and community contribution.

### Social Value Priorities

AIC’s social value priorities include:

* fair and inclusive work
* skills development
* responsible supply chain practices
* support for small and specialist suppliers
* environmental responsibility
* ethical technology delivery
* community contribution where practical
* support for veterans and people with transferable public service experience where relevant
* digital skills and early-career development

### Fair Work

AIC supports professional, respectful and fair work.

This includes:

* lawful engagement
* clear expectations
* fair payment practices
* safe working environments
* zero tolerance for abuse and discrimination
* appropriate onboarding and support
* respect for work-life balance where compatible with delivery

### Skills and Development

AIC will seek opportunities to support skills development through:

* mentoring
* knowledge sharing
* internal training
* apprenticeships or early-career routes where viable
* technical communities of practice
* reusable learning materials
* supplier knowledge transfer

### Responsible Procurement

AIC expects suppliers to operate ethically and professionally.

Supplier decisions may consider:

* ethical conduct
* equality and inclusion
* environmental responsibility
* compliance with law

### Environmental Awareness

AIC will seek to reduce avoidable environmental impact where practical.

Where required, social value commitments should be measurable.

Measures may include:

### Review

Social value commitments should be reviewed during project governance where they form part of the contract or customer requirement.
